DBIS - Browse all BI databases

DBIS (Datenbank-Infosystem) is an index of all research databases available to the Bi community.

Students and faculty at BI have access to hundreds of research databases from several different sources. Thanks to DBIS, all databases can be browsed by subject or title, and accessed from one interface.

At BI we have access to databases provided by the Nationallizenz (DFG) and our partnership with Bahçeşehir University; plus a growing number of open-access resources. While wonderful to have access to such a large number of resources, it can be inconvenient to try to sort out what is available.

That's where DBIS comes in. DBIS was developed by the University of Regensburg to address just such a problem and is continuously maintained by the ~350 member libraries. Indeed, you may recognise the DBIS interface since it is used by nearly all German university and regional libraries.
